After we left Philadelphia, we visited Charlottesville, VA where the parents of Yo-Yoon Cho live. As they are parents of Korean radio hams HM1AA Yo-Sung Cho and HM1AB Yo-Yoon Cho (and faher-in-law of Jane's sister Young-Hyuk) we met them very often since I was a college student. They were really pleased our visit to Charlottesville and recommended us to use their master bed room to stay. I have strongly refused it but he was asking so strong, I had no choice but to accept his recommendation. I really appreciate his kindness for our visit there.

American tires are usually warranted for 50,000 miles. However, they could not take 70-80 miles/hour driving under the hot weather. It had only 15,000 miles driving  but busted in Georgia freeway. Fortunately, Highway Patrol arrived soon and assisted us. We had busted tire problem again in Arizona due to the really hot weather.

This is Kennedy Space Center in Florida where the U.S. space ships are launched according to the Space Program of U.S.A.. If you visit this Space Center, you can see various space ships and their insides, many rockets to launce space ships, launching pads and huge cargo carrier to move space ships at the speed of 1 mile/hour etc. etc. and will learn a lot about the space program.

The Pacific water is too cold to swim as it is the cold stream from Alaska to Mexico. However, the water of Atlantic Ocean is warm water from Mexico Bay all the way to Boston and people can swim whole year in the Atlantic Ocean. Our children played in this warm water.

Since we are at the tip of Florida, we decided to extend our drive to Key West. There are so many small islands connected by one long bridge, 126 miles or about 200Km. When We started in the morning and drove about half point, it was good scenery with many tropical trees, many bridges with the sea on both sides, but it was continuously same scenery, nothing new. We returned at around half point giving up to drive further.

Now, we returned from Key West and it is really the driving to return home. At that time, the Disney World has been just opened, only a few month ago. They planned much larger play ground ant bought a huge land with plan to build much bigger one in Florida, but it was much smaller than Disneyland in Los Angeles yet at that time.

Not too far at the west from Disney World, there was a Cypress Garden which was another play ground. However, it was quite different from Disney World. They also had a huge land. They left about the half of the ground unchanged as the old ground with many tropical trees, while half of the land was modified to modern play ground with a lot of modern playing facilities as shown pictures above. Especially, there water skiing show is the top class to watch for visitors.

Tropical shower in Florida is really a scary rain. The sky becomes very dark suddenly and the heavy rain starts. A rain ball is so big that spreads on windshield window for more than 20-30 cm wide. You can see only the front tip of your car at most. You have no choice but to pull the car to the road side and wait the shower to be over for a few ten minuets. Everything is big in U.S. but I didn't know even rain is also this big.

As soon as you get in to New Mexico from Texas, you will see this huge cavern in Carlsbad, New Mexico, which is 20 miles (32Km) long though visitors can walk in only 3 miles (5km). You will receive a radio receiver which will explain the places everywhere you go not requiring any tour guide. There are so many and so big fossils to see. But most interesting fact is there are countless bats on the other end of the cavern tunnel 20 miles away. You can watch this spectacular scene of countless bats flying out of cavern at every evening.
