Bodega Bay is about a two-and-a-half hour drive from San Jose when the traffic is not too bad.  Many golfers go there during the summer when it gets too hot to play at home. The golf course - Bodega Harbour Golf Links - is not an especially great course, but it features a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean and it's nice and cool in the summer.  (The picture at the top was taken at the 1st hole tee.)  The only problem with the course is that there are many foggy and windy days with strong ocean winds in the summertime, which can make it hard to play golf if you are unlucky. (Oct. is the best season.) However, it also has a beautiful beach, as shown in the bottom picture, taken at the Club House grill, where Jane and D.I. had a very late lunch (2:00 - 3:00 PM
