Excursion
on 4/27 - "Best
of Maui"
Visited Iao Needle at
Iao Valley State Park through
Kepaniwai Heritage Garden, Maui Tropical Plantation
and Maui Ocean Center
at the west coast.
On the way to Iao
Needle, we passed Kepaniwai
Heritage Garden
where two olden Korean arbors with Korean sign were found.
กก "Iao
Needle" was
nothing but a few sharply high mountains.
On the way to Maui
Ocean Center, we stopped at the Maui Tropical Plantation. The sign at the
upper left of this picture was the sign at the rest room. It seems
"Men" is "Kane" in Hawaiian native language and "Wahine"
means "Women".
It
was the first time to see coffee tree and fruits, though I love coffee.
Not
only here, there are many "Hibiscus" everywhere in Hawaiian
islands. (I have only one in our backyard.) Maui
Ocean Center was very well organized aquarium, well arranged to learn ocean
animals very easily.
This was the best aquarium to learn about ocean animals, though it is not
the largest.
