Hawaii Cruise
4/25
- 5/1, 2010
Day
- 7 4/30
Fri. Stayed
at Nawiliwili, Kauai pier in the night and departed at 14:00 PM on 4/30 Fri.
for Honolulu. According
to the sailing map in the NCL web site, the ship was supposed to sail
directly to Honolulu heading south. However, the ship sailed to north and
sailed around the Kauai Island as shown here. Because the ship sailed around
the island, we could see wonderful scenery unexpectedly on the last day of
the cruise.
How
about this double rainbows? (The 2nd. rainbow is not clearly visible in this
picture but you can recognize it at right side above the first rainbow.)
It was really beautiful and both ends were so
close to the ship. The
northwest coastline of Kauai Island was spectacular with many very sharp
ridges We enjoyed this scenery also very much unexpectedly.
Jane
was amazed to this coastline scenery. C.
K. An couple came to our stateroom to watch the scenery as their cabin is at
the other side of the ship.
Finally,
the vacation is over. The ship returned to Honolulu pier at 7:00 AM on 5/1,
Sat..
กก All
six of us have enjoyed every moment of the cruise very much and it was
a great vacation with old friends all together.
The ship "Pride of America" was a wonderful cruise ship with nice
restaurants and entertainments. The
excursions have disappointed me generally and I think Hawaii is a nice place
for vacation to relax but not a good place for sightseeing.
Maybe, it is because I have traveled so many
great places like Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Banff etc. etc.
and it might be a good sightseeing place who has not traveled so many places
in U. S. A. as I have done.
Anyway, the places we have visited this time did not impress me much though
they are supposed to be the best places in Hawaii. The
real problem was internet connection. It was so slow. I purchased 100
minutes ($55) at first and additional 100 min. again,
but wasted more than 150 minutes just waiting the
responses. With 200 minutes in 7 days, the best I could do was to check
e-mail once a day.
Thank
you.
