In front of El Capitan at Yosemite National Park in California. The plan was to drive across the park on Highway 120, through the Tioga Pass (9,999 ft above sea level), and end up at the Devil's Postpile National Monument and Death Valley before heading to Las Vegas the following day. However, due to excessive snow, Highway 120 was closed temporarily on the day they went (snow in June in California!!!).  So they had to cancel their original plan and return home the same day.  (6/8)
