After a night
stay in Syracuse with Jane's classmate family, we drove southwest to
Columbus, Ohio, where my nephew Seong-Koo Cho lives as a medical doctor, and
drove around a few days in Columbus with Seong-Koo family with great
enjoyment together. Seong-Koo is my nephew (son of my eldest brother).
However, his father has been in prison by Japanese government as he joined
anti-Japanese occupation activity. After the liberation in 1945, he got out
of Westgate Prison in Seoul but could not live long. His mother disappeared
during Korean War in 1950. Thereafter, he grew up just as my younger brother
with me together rather than uncle-nephew relationship. He came to U.S.A.
right after he graduated Medical School of Seoul National University in
Seoul and became a medical doctor.

We visited
Oberlin College in Ohio state where my father has graduated more than half
century ago. After the visit of Oberlin College, we drove to Cleveland to
meet my father's classmate lady still alive. As my father has graduated
Oberlin in 1929, we were son and grandsons of her classmate 46 years ago,
and she was so amazed to see us from Korea far away and welcome us.

After spending a
few excellent days with Seong-Koo family in Columbus, OH, we drove to
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to see Jane's sister, Young-Hyuk, with her husband
Yo-Yoon Cho to stay for 3 nights. Yo-Yoon has been a ham operator in Korea
with Korean call sign of HM1AB. While I have hired my sister-in-law Young-Hyuk
as a clerk of KARL (Korean Amateur Radio League) for a while, Yo-Yoon
visited KARL very often and both of them fall in love and married finally.
Unfortunately, Young-Hyuk passed away recently in 2016.
