제6구간 10/19 - 10/21
이제 5일간의 서울 체재를 끝내고 지방순례가 시작되었읍니다. 처음 간곳은 문경 새재. 이번 여행의 주목적인 OT Meeting (old
Timer Meeting) 참석차입니다. 이 OT Meeting은 1박2일의 년례행사로 년 2회 실시된다고합니다. 2 Letter
Call (HM1AA – HM1ZZ)의 고참 회원들만 참석할수있고, HL3IB OM이 회장으로 매번 이 모임을 주선하고 있읍니다.
Now, we have
finished 5 days in Seoul and started trip to country cities to meet ham
friends in each city driving the car. The first place we went was
"Moon-Kyung"
where Annual OT (Old Timers) Meeting was held. It has been held twice a year
to stay one night and it was one of our primary objectives of this trip to
meet old ham friends. Only 2 letters Call Sign (HL1AA - HL1ZZ. 2 letters of
suffix after the number.) holders are eligible to this meeting and HL3IB was
preparing this meeting this time.
10/19 – 10-/24의 6일간의 일정으로 9개 도시를 순방할 예정인데, 10/18에 Willy가 Sonata를 한대 Rent하여,
19일 아침에 HL1GN OM의 회사에 가서 HL1GN OM을 태우고, 함께 문경새재로 가기로 했었읍니다. 그래서 전날 서울의 Ham
Meeting을 하든날, HL1GN OM하고 함께 HM1GN의 회사인 修學社에 갔었는데, 막상 혼자서 차를 운전하고 다시 갔드니,
회사간판이 작아 눈에 잘 뜨이지를 않고, 익숙지 않은 서울 운전에 HL1GN OM의 회사를 지나쳐 버렸읍니다. 다시 우회전하여 한바퀴
돌았는데, 너무 좁은 골목속에 들어가버려, 우회전을 하다가 타이어가 무엇에 걸려 찢어지면서, 빵구가 나버렸읍니다. hi hi.
We were going to
visit 9 cities in 6 days. Willy rented a Sonata for me and I was going to
pick-up HL1GN on the way in the morning and drive to Moon-Kyung together at
his office. Therefore, we went to his office a few days ago to let me know
where his office is. However, I have passed his office as the company sign
was too small to see while I was driving unfamiliar Seoul streets. I
circled around to look for his office again. But I got in to too narrow
alley and scratched tire when I was making right turn at the narrow alley
damaging the tire.
할수 없이 차를 HL1GN OM 회사 앞에 세워 놓고 Willy에게 전화 했드니, 한국에서는 보험회사가 수리차를 보낸다네요. 그런데
20분쯤 지나 수리차가 왔는데, 타이어를 바꾸어야한다고, 내차를 견인하여 근처의 타이어 가게에 대려다주고 가버렸읍니다. 타이어가게에서
재고를 찾아보드니 그차에 맞는 타이어가 없다나요. 근처의 타이어가게들이 전부 콤퓨터로 연결되어 있는듯, 콤퓨터로 찾아보드니 맞는 타이어를
찾았는데, 갖어 오는데 30분이 걸리겠답니다.
I parked the car in
front of HL1GN's office and called Willy asking what to do. Willy said he
contacted rent car company, was advised to call insurance company which he
did and told the help will be on the way to arrive in about 20 min. A car
came and pulled the car to a tire repair shop. However, the shop didn't have
a proper tire to replace. He searched tire shops around with computer, found
a right tire and told me it will take about 30 min. to bring it to their
shop.
이래서 타이어 때문에 처음부터 출발이 2시간이나 지연되어, 문경에 11시에 도착하도록 한다는것이, 11시에 서울을 떠났읍니다. 그래서
문경에 도착한것이 오후1시, 다른 회원들은 모두 점심을 먹고 우리를 기다리고 있었읍니다. 이런 우회곡절 끝에 드디어 OT 햄들을
만났는데, 이날 모인 햄들이 13명. 예년에 비해서 반 밖에 안된답니다. 그래도 모두와 반가운 인사를 나누었는데, 내가 아는 OM은 함께
간 HL1GN OM과 HL2BM OM뿐이고, 나머지는 전부 초면이었읍니다. 그러나 아무리 초면이라도 Call Sign만 말하면 즉석에서
十年知己로 변하는 것이 햄들로, 모두가 정말 즐겁게 인사를 하고, 옛얘기에 꽃을 피우고…. 특히 HL2BM OM이 무척이나 반가워하셨고,
모두 함께 정말 재미있는 시간을 보냈읍니다.
When we replaced
the tire and was ready to go, we were 2 hours late. We were supposed to be
in Moon-Kyung at 11:00 AM but we left Seoul at 11:00 AM. When we arrived
Moon-Kyun at around 1:00 PM, there were 13 hams waiting for us after the
lunch already. I have not met all of them but one. However it is hams to become
old friends as soon as you introduce yourself with your call sign. They have
really welcome me, one of the founder of KARL (Korean Amateur Radio League)
about half century ago and real old timer with call sign of HM1AJ, and
started to talk about old stories of ham radio in Korea. HL2BM, the only guy
today whom I met in very early time of KARL, really welcome me. We have
really enjoyed the rag chew (talking) for hours.
문경새재는 예로부터 산이 높아 새도 못넘는다는 고갯길로, 경상도 선비가 서울로 과거를 보러가면서 무척 고생한 난관이었는데, 이번에 가보니
식당만 수십개는 되고 때마침 사과축제를 한다고, 많은 사람들로 무척 분볐읍니다. 재미 있었든것은 사과로 지은 집이었고, 길옆에는 사과를
파는 간이상점들이 길게 늘어서 있었읍니다. 이날 2시간이나 늦게 도착한 우리를 크게 환영해주신 여러 OM들에게 정말로 감사하고, 우리가
여기에 참석할수 있도록 수고를 많이 하여주신 HL1GN OM에게도 깊은 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.
Moon-Kyung has been
known as very high hill, very tough to cross, for scholars in south-east
Korea to travel to Seoul to take government examinations. However, I am
surprised to find so many restaurants entertaining very many visitors now.
They had a apple festival and it was very interesting to see a house built
by apple. I really appreciate to all hams who have welcomed us so much in
spite of 2 hours of late arrival, especially to HL1GN who has arranged for
us to join to this wonderful OT Meeting.
이렇게 문경새재에서의 OT Meeting을 즐겁게 보낸후에 대구로
가서, 대구 프린스 호텔에 Check-in 하고, 호텔 바로 옆에 있는 一松亭이라는 식당에서 HL5NTR OM이 주선하여주신
대구OM들과의 만남이 시작되었읍니다. 대구에서의 모임은 HL5NTR OM과 두명의 햄이 참석한 조촐한 모임이었고, 모두가 한번도 본일이
없는 초면의 OM들이었지만, 역시 오랜 친구들인양, 즐거운 저녁 시간이었읍니다. 이렇게 우회곡절 끝에, 문경과 대구에서의 햄들과의 즐거운
시간을 끝내고, 호텔로 돌아오니 너무나 피로하여 정신없이 하루밤을 잘 잤읍니다.
After the meeting
of OTs in Moon-Kyung, we drove to Taegu, checked in Prince Hotel where
HL5NTR was waiting for us. He has arranged a meeting with a few Taegu hams
and we went to a restaurant Ilsongjung nearby to meet 2 more hams. It was a
small meeting and a first time meeting with all 3 hams in Taegu. However,
here too, they were so happy to meet HM1AJ/HM1AM, very early timers of
Korean ham radio. We had a great time for a few hours taking dinner and when
I returned to the hotel, I was exhausted and slept whole night very well. hi
hi
다음날인 10/20일, 대구 – 울산은 [다음지도]에 의하면 한시간 반이면 갈수있다고 나오고, 울산에 12시 까지 가겠다고 했서, 충분한
시간 여유를 두고 아침 9시반에 대구를 떠나 울산으로 향했읍니다. 그런데 대구시가의 교통량이 아침부터 많고, 서울에서 올때에는
“북대구”IC (Interchange)에서 나왔는데, 울산을 가려면 “동대구”IC가 방향이라 Navigator가 그리로 향하는듯
싶드니, Navigator가 혼란을 일으킨듯….. 이리로 가랬다 저리로 가랬다 U-Turn을 하랬다…. 갈피를 못잡아, 대구를 벗어
나서 고속도로에 들어가는데만 거이 한시간이 걸렸읍니다. 그러더니 내가 실수를 한건지? Navigator가 실수를 한건지? 고속도로에
들어서서 경부고속도로를 계속 달려야 하는데, 어찌된건지 부산으로가는 55번 중앙고속도로로 들어서 남쪽으로 한동안을 달렸읍니다. 한참을
가다가 아무래도 이상한것 같아 휴계소에 들러 차를 세워 놓고 Smartphone으로 위치를 확인해보니 청도까지 내려와 있었읍니다. hi
hi 거리상으로는 그렇게 많이 돌지는 않았지만, 거기서 밀양까지 더 남하하여, 밀양에서 24번 지방도로로 들어서서 울산을 갔는데, 도로도
잘되있고, 차도 별로 없어, 80km/h의 제한속도 도로에서 대부분 120km/h 정도로 달렸으니, 한국도로에 무수히 설치된 무인카메라에
잡혀 후일 Willy에게 과속 딱지가 날라오지 않을런지? 모르겠읍니다. hi hi
On 10/20, the next
day, according to the [Daum Map], It will take about 1.5 hours for Taegu to
Ulsan and we were supposed to be there by 12:00 noon. I left Taegu early
enough at 9:30 AM. However, the traffic in Taegu was bad from the morning.
We entered Taegu city from north IC (Interchange) as we came from north
yesterday. But we were heading to east today for Ulsan and navigator started
to head to east Taegu IC. However, I think navigator was confused and it
asked to turn left one time and immediately asked to the right and U-turn
next. I didn't know which way to go. Anyway, it took almost one hour just to
get out of Taegu city and get in to Expressway. I am not sure whether it was
my mistake or navigator's error, but we got in to Expressway 55 to
south, in spite we have to take Seoul-Pusan Expressway to east (Highway-1).
I felt something wrong, stopped car and checked where we are with my
smartphone and found we were driving wrong way to south for almost an
hour. I changed course to east driving local highway-24. The road was great
though it was winding local road without many cars with 80km/h speed limit.
I drove 120km/h mostly and Willy might receive over-speed tickets by mail
later as there are many CCTV camera watching speed everywhere in Korea. hi
hi.
이래서 울산에 도착한것이 12시가 조금 넘었고, 약속시간보다 크게 늦지는 않아 괜찮다고 생각했는데, 울산시에서 모임을 마련한 HL5BBD
OM에게서 받은 모임의 장소를 다 가서도 찾지를 못하여, 근처를 뱅뱅 돌면서 30분이상을 낭비하여, 결국 12시 반이 넘어서야
약속장소에 도달할수 있었읍니다. hi hi.
When we arrived
Ulsan, it was little after 12:00 noon, not too late from the time I have
committed. However, I spent about 30 more min. just to find the place where
we were supposed to meet for lunch.
울산에서 30여분이 지연된 우리를 기다린 OMs는 이 모임을 주선하신 HL5BBD OM을 위시하여 총 4명. 역시 전부 초면입니다.
여기서 거이 3:00PM이 될때까지 초창기 KARL얘기를 많이하며 즐거운시간을 보내고 부산으로 향했읍니다. 부산까지는 무사히 달려서
HL5BSX OM이 지정한 부산, 서면의 QTH(위치, 장소)에 도착한것이 4:00PM을 약간 넘어서 였읍니다. 거기는 HL5BSX
OM의 사무실이 가까운듯, 그곳의 식당 앞에 차를 세워놓고, 식당에서 커피를 마시며 환담하는 도중에 HL5BXG OM이 참가하여, 오후 6시 가까이 까지 즐거운
시간을 갖었읍니다. 6시가 가까워져서 몇Block을 걸어갔는데, 온거리가 거이 100% (과장 좀 곁드려 hi hi) 먹자판으로, 젊은
남녀가 무수히 나와와서 걸어다니고….. 이것을 발전으로 보아야할런지??? 엣날 금성사에 다니며 우리가 살든 서면과는 전혀 다른
변모였읍니다.
The hams who have
waited for us were 4 hams including HL5BBD who has arranged this meeting, who
are all the first meets. We enjoyed having a great time until 3:00 PM mostly
talking about early stories of KARL and headed for Pusan. We arrived Pusan
little after 4:00 PM and met HL5BSX who were waiting for us. We talked until
about 6:00 PM taking a coffee at a restaurant there in Sumyun, northern tip
of Pusan. Later HL5BXG joined us. We walked a few blocks at 6:00 PM to go to
a place where we were supposed to meet Pusan hams and found whole blocks
were restaurants with many young people walking around. I wonder whether is
is a development. ???? We lived this area in early 1960's working in Gold
Star Co. but I couldn't identify the streets as they were changed so much.
드디어 오늘의 모임장소인 [우돼끼리]라는 식당에 왔는데, 요사이의 한국식당들은 이름도 이상야롯하여, 한자이름을 안쓰고 순한국어 이름을
쓴다지만 그이름이 무슨 뜻인지 모를 이름이 많습니다. 이곳도 “우돼”가 무슨뜻인지? “우리돼지”아닌가 싶지만 모르겠읍니다. 특히
“우”자에 돼지의 양 귀를 표시하다보니 간판의 “우돼끼리”가 “부돼끼리”로도 보이고……hi hi. 어쨌든 이래서 부산의 햄들을 만났는데,
HL5IL 서찬우OM이 전화도 몇번하면서 HL5BSX OM을 독려한 탓도 있어, 다른 어떤 도시보다도 많은 6명이 뫃여 있었읍니다.
Finally, we arrived
to a restaurant where we were supposed to have a dinner with Pusan hams
where 4 more hams were waiting for us. We had a great time here too with 6
Pusan hams.
이날 HL5BSX OM의 친절은 유별나서, 저녁모임후에도 우리를 송도의 호텔까지 선도해 주었고, 호텔에서도 elevator까지 짐도
날라주었고, 떠나면서 금일봉의 봉투까지 떠맞끼고 도망가듯 떠나버려 얼떨결에 어쩔수 없이 받긴 했지만, 정말로 고마운 OM이었읍니다.
그러나 HL5BSX OM을 위시하여 오늘 만난 OMs도 모두가 초면의 OMs여서 햄들의 우정을 또한번 절실히 느꼈읍니다. HL5BSX
OM의 친절은 영원히 잊지 못하겠고, OM에게 정말로 마음속으로 부터의 감사를 드립니다.
HL5BSX were so kind
for us which kindness I will never forget. After the dinner, he guided us to
our hotel in Songdo, southern tip of Pusan, crossing the city of Pusan and
took our heavy luggage's to the elevator of the hotel. However, we have
never met all 6 hams in Pusan. I really would like to express my sincere
appreciation to HL5BSX.
이래서 즐거운 하루를 보냈지만 녹초가되어 호텔에 짐을 풀었는데, 호텔이름이 “유엔호텔”이라고하여 “UN Hotel”인줄 알고 UN과 무슨
관계가 있나 했드니, 호텔의 간판을 보니 “You & Hotel”이었읍니다. 요사이 한국에서는 이렇게 순한국어 이름이거나 영어 이름을
붙인 간판이 무척 많고 재래식 한자 이른은 점점 사라져가는것 같은데, 영어로 이름을 붙여야 유식하게 보이나 보지요? hi hi.
It was really
enjoyable day today but when we checked in to the hotel, I was totally
exhausted and went to a sleep as soon as we have checked in. The name of the
hotel was sounded like a "UN Hotel" and I wondered what kind of relationship
with "United Nations" it has. When I saw the sign of the hotel, it was "You
& Hotel"!! hi hi. These days, there are so many this kind of strange English
names in Korea. They might think English name has more intelligent
impression to the guests. hi hi
이래서 부산에서 하루밤을 자고 다음날 아침에 늦으막히 9시쯤 호텔을 떠나 통영으로 향했읍니다. 원래는 HL5IL 서찬우OM의 적극
추천으로 햄도 없는 통영에서 하루를 관광할 예정이었으나, 이틀을 지나고나니 너무 피곤하여, 통영에서의 관광은 포기하고 호텔에서 쉬기로
하고, 천천히 사방을 구경하며 갔는데, 가덕도와 거제도를 연결하는 긴 거가대교는 정말 멋있었고, 카메라에 담고 싶었지만, 정차할곳이 없어
사진을 못찍어 아쉬었읍니다. 통영에서는 바닷가에 있는 고급호텔인 “거북선호텔”에 들었는데, 도착한것이 12:00 정오경으로 3시까지는
Check-in이 안된다네요. Front에 있는 아가씨에게 섬을 한바퀴 돌고 올테니 내방을 우선적으로 청소해달라니까, 청소원에게 말은
해보겠다고해서, 호텔을 떠나 근처에서 점심을 먹고 통영의 섬을 천천히 한바퀴 돌고 오니까 오후 2:00. 아가씨 입김이 주효를 해서 방이
준비가 됐다고 Check-in을 시켜줘서 두시에 방에 들어가 짐을 풀었읍니다.
We stayed a night
in Pusan and drove to Tong-Young next morning, which HL5IL said to be a
beautiful island. We left Pusan little late at 9:00 AM and arrived
Tong-Young by noon. The bridge connecting Keojedo and Kadeokdo was a really
impressive wonderful huge bridge and I really wanted to take a picture.
However, there was no place to stop and could not take any picture
unfortunately. When we arrived the hotel, we were told we can not check in
until 3:00PM. I asked front girl to clean our room as soon as possible as we
were going to drive around the island and come back. We came back at 2:00 PM
and the room was ready to check-in. We were supposed to look around the island for a whole day
without meeting any ham. However, I was so tired, gave up the sightseeing of
the island and took a rest for whole afternoon taking a nap etc.. hi hi
이렇게 해서 오후시간은 호텔에서 그간 밀린 사진정리도하고, 낮잠도자고, 예정했든 관광은 완전히 포기하고, 오후를 휴식하는것으로 보내고, 다음 날에는 DS5FTS OM이
기다리는 하동으로 향했읍니다.
I spent whole
afternoon in the hotel room, taking a nap and arranging photos, and headed
for Hadong where DS5FTS were waiting for us next morning.
